A common butterfly above 1400 meters elevation, wingspan 48mm to 58mm,commonly speeded among  bamboo bush Nuwara Eliya district, quite difficult to identified due to cryptic patterns & color of the under side of the wings, it’s infrequent visitor to flower & feeds, it’s fly fast & erratic ,it’s flies not only in the dense shade of the bamboo forests but also in wide open space with secondary vegetation where stunted bamboo is present,
